Steps to set-up your Feathercap trial

Once you’ve signed up to your Feathercap trial and received your welcome text and email, start by syncing your documents and videos between Dropbox and Feathercap. Then ask Feathercap questions regarding your content to get the right answer, page or video snippet to answer your questions. Note: You’ll need to have provided a mobile device number to access your trial via SMS or WhatsApp. Re-submit your phone details to us here.

Text: "Hey Feathercap"

Once you receive your welcome text with your Text/ SMS and WhatsApp access phone numbers, type the following wake phrase: "Hey Feathercap". Then select the attached link to sync your content with Dropbox.

Get authenticated

If this is your first time accessing Feathercap or you have privacy settings on high for your mobile browser, you will need to be issued an OTP or one time password which will be texted/ WhatsApp'd to you.

Select "Request OTP" to start. Then enter the four digit number sent to you and select "Submit OTP".

Select "Connect to Dropbox"

Select "Connect to Dropbox". This connector to Dropbox is free with the Feathercap trial.

Sign-in or sign-up for dropbox

If you're new to Dropbox, sign-up for your free account below. If you have a dropbox account with your content, sign-in!

Select folders with content...then Sync!

Select the "Choose/ Change Sync Folder" - this shows all your folders in dropbox. Select one for Feathercap to index and make searchable by selecting "Save" at the bottom.

Then select the blue "Sync Now" button to start in the background indexing all your videos, pdfs or documents to make them searchable. Feel free to select this anytime to update any content you changed in dropbox.

Syncing progress

The progress bar will show how many files are left to sync.

For Feathercap free trials, indexing happens at 2MB / minute. If you have 10 MB of content to sync, give it about 5 minutes.

So based on how much content you have, take a break and check back later. It will show completion status and keep indexing automatically until finished.

Feathercap is ready! You can start asking questions.

Dropbox shows "sync complete"? You are ready to get answers from your content. Text your questions to the SMS/ text or WhatsApp phone numbers in your welcome email.

Type the wake phrase "Hey Feathercap" to welcome you anytime and to re-sync with dropbox to add more content.
